It’s been a busy couple of months at Big Cat with the entire team getting involved in some exciting new projects. The design team have been working closely with our friends over at Transtherm to help transform their HQ with some creative magic!
Transtherm have been located at Banner Park for a few years now, and felt it was time for a refresh so they briefed the Big Cat design team to create a professional, aesthetically pleasing and more engaging environment for staff and clients. The entire HQ was a blank canvas for the design team to work their creative magic!
First up, the team were invited on a tour of Transtherm’s offices and factory so that they could get a feel for the different workspaces and environments, as well as scoping out the materials they would be working with. The design team chose to work alongside an established Birmingham-based printer, who recently helped transform the Big Cat offices with a series of vibrant large scale vinyls. Together with their trusted printers, the design team combined design with innovative print techniques including raised acrylic lettering to create 3D effects, frosted glass graphics and complex, layered signage.
Transtherm have given the go-ahead on the team’s proposed designs, which will see areas including the board room, building exterior, stairwells, reception and factory workshop undergoing a transformation. In the factory area; the team didn’t want to cover up the breeze blocks as they felt the material was appropriate to the workspace, so decided to use a dye-cut vinyl which would be applied with heat, allowing the grooves and indentations from the breeze blocks to create an interesting texture. All in all, all teams involved worked together harmoniously from the large scale projects down to the finer details.
It’s not just Transtherm’s HQ that we’re waving a Big Cat magic wand at; over the next few months we’ll be working away on a brand new website as well as their marketing materials to incorporate the new branding into even more aspects of their business. Big Cat are really excited to be involved is such a large-scale project, and can’t wait to show you the finished product, so be sure to look out for the ‘big reveal’!
