Grand Central and New Street Station
We are delighted to announce that Big Cat has recently been selected as the national agency for Grand Central, Birmingham’s new £150 million premium retail and dining destination that will be fully integrated with Birmingham’s regenerated and redeveloped New Street Station.
Big Cat Group, which is made up of Big Cat, The Fair and House of Experience, will create and execute the launch campaign event for Grand Central as well as provide an ongoing press office for the city’s major development owned by Birmingham City Council.
This appointment is proof of Big Cat’s expertise and provides an opportunity to demonstrate our integrated approach to deliver creative and innovative solutions to drive real business impact. Big Cat’s MD, Anthony Tattum, when asked about the development said everyone is “thrilled to be working with such a high profile development at such an exciting time for the city”.
Grand Central Birmingham is part of a £750million project in the city which also features the transformation of Birmingham New Street Station. Grand Central will be the ‘meeting place’, the place to meet friends and relatives for a day of luxury where exclusive shops and delicious food are all in one place. There will be more than 40 shops and 20 new cafes and restaurants.

Richard Brown, Development Director at Grand Central said, “We are delighted to have Big Cat Group on board to deliver the launch and ongoing press office and communications for the development. With Grand Central being fully integrated with one of the busiest train stations outside of London, it’s imperative that the launch is a national success and we are keen to leverage Big Cat Groups expertise to help us to do this.”
The launch of Grand Central, whose anchor store will be John Lewis, will coincide with the opening of Birmingham New Street station in September 2015.
Everyone here at Big Cat couldn’t be happier and we are very proud to be part of Birmingham’s transformation. Watch this space!
