This week, Greta Baker joins the Big Cat pride as the newest Marketing intern, bringing with her a degree in Fashion Communication and Promotion and a passion for all things creative. Greta tells us about what she’s looking forward to during the next three months, and how she likes to spend her time outside the office…

Tell us about an exciting piece of work you’ve been working on…

As I’m a new addition to the pride, I’m still getting to grips with everything but I’m looking forward to working on some exciting projects with clients like San Carlo and The BioHub.

What music have you been listening to recently?

I watched Inception a few weeks ago and got sucked in by the dramatic score by Hans Zimmer. Time is my absolute favourite as it’s an emotional piece! He also composed the soundtrack for Interstellar and the Batman trilogy.

Tin Man by Future Islands is probably my most played track though, I first heard it on the Austyn Unlimited skate video. I can’t get enough of Samuel T’s crooning and I’m lucky enough to be getting to see him in the flesh on their tour in Manchester in September.

In a complete contrast to this (and don’t judge me on this one!) I’ve been listening to the wacky lyrics of Brooke Candy, she’s really in a league of her own.

Share something inspiring with us…

Curiosity about life in all of its aspects, I think, is still the secret of great creative people – the words of American Advertising Executive Leo Burnett.

What are your interests outside of work?

I love collecting beautiful prints on my travels to adorn my walls and I’ve just returned from Barcelona, being such a vibrant and creative city, I took the chance to pick up an illustrated print from a local artist Elisa Ancori – check her out!

I’m also a massive film fanatic especially for dark and gritty foreign films. The Greek film Kynodontas is a must see, it’s deeply disturbing – in a good way!

Check back soon for the latest news from the Big Cat team.
