Here at Big Cat we have been counting the days until Grand Central Birmingham open their doors to the public and reveal, for the very first time, just what the newest premium shopping and dining destination has to offer. We can’t quite believe it but there is only one month left to wait!
To mark this major milestone, Grand Central has seen a final wave of new signings with five major brands including: MAC, Jo Malone, Jones Bootmakers, Neo Glory and Jeff Baines adding to the already impressive list of retailers.
Communications and Engagement Manager, Ashley Innis at Grand Central Birmingham said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to have these aspirational brands on board.
“They’re a massive boost to Grand Central’s premium, retail offering and complement the exciting mix of fashion, accessories, food and beverage brands that have already committed to the shopping centre.”
Grand Central opens, Thursday 24 September at 10am offering over 60 exciting, premium shops and delicious restaurants which all sit around the atrium space underneath the amazing new roof flooding natural light into the centre and the New Street station concourse beneath.
“As the second largest city in the UK, we’re excited to be at the forefront of such a highly aesthetic design and build.
“Our destination really does have something for everyone and we can’t wait to show it off! It has certainly been worth the wait and in combination with the magnificent New Street Station creates a great first impression of Birmingham,” said Innis.
Richard Brown, Development Director of Grand Central Birmingham said: “With one month to go before opening, we are in a really strong position. There is a still a lot to do but as the retailers start to fit out their shops, we will really start to see everything being brought to life. It’s a very exciting phase of the development.”
Grand Central will also be part of Birmingham Weekender, a weekend of free, family-friendly, outdoor performances. The Big Cat team can’t wait to get involved in the activities which will be taking place across the city centre from 25 – 27 September 2015. Birmingham Weekender is produced by Birmingham Hippodrome on behalf of Birmingham Arts Partnership.
