2013 is starting in the best way possible for the Big Cat team as the good news keeps on coming. At the end of 2012 we learnt that we were placed in the RAR 100. Now the National Outdoor Events Association has shortlisted us in two categories for its upcoming awards in March. To be nominated in one category is a big enough achievement but to have two is incredible and proves that hard work really does pay off.

We have been nominated for “The Friendly Event of the Year” and “Best Practise” for our work on the Big Issue Nightwalk. The walk was organised by our Events team and took place in Birmingham over 11 miles and saw 150 people participate. We helped to raise over £20,000 for the charity and our achievement has been recognised by NOEA.

Our Senior Events Manager was extremely proud of the achievement and couldn’t hide his excitement when he found out the news.

Rob said; “Two nominations is a huge boost for the events team. It’s a great start to the New Year and I can’t wait to attend the awards evening! We have to send out a big thank you to NOEA and the people at Big Issue.”

The awards take place in March so we’ve got enough time to find the perfect outfit and hopefully, we’ll be picking up an award or two.
