Who loves pasta? We certainly do , which is why we’ve been really excited to be working with our Jewellery Quarter neighbours, Pasta di Piazza! Pasta di Piazza is an authentic Italian restaurant that serves, amongst other delicious meals, a selection of fresh pasta dishes. We wanted to do something a little different to promote the restaurant’s amazing pasta offering, so our PR team came up with the idea of a ‘Pasta Giveaway’ in the heart of Birmingham City Centre.
We took to the streets of Birmingham to hand out 300 packages of dried pasta. The concept was simple: raise awareness of the Italian restaurant brand by handing out branded packages of dried pasta which could be left at home and, using the vouchers which were hand-tied to the pasta packages, recipients could redeem a fresh pasta dish on the house!
Our PR team secured some amazing coverage for the event in the likes of What’s On Birmingham and Style Birmingham, to name just a few. We also had fantastic social support from lots of Brummy bloggers, who were all more than happy to get involved with the giveaway in any way they could.
If you were lucky enough to get your hands on one of the pasta bags, don’t forget to share your photos of your #pastamadefresh on Twitter!
If you missed out, don’t worry – Pasta di Piazza runs monthly competitions to win a meal for 2, so follow them on Twitter (@PastadiPiazzaUK) and keep an eye out for the next chance to win!
And if you find yourself spoilt for choice – we strongly recommend the RAVIOLI DI GRANCHIO – large ravioli filled with fresh crab meat, simmered in a delicious clam sauce with tomato and lobster bisque. Delicious and freshly made!
The pasta giveaway is just one of many projects we have been working on with Pasta di Piazza during the past six months. They are also the host venue for our monthly Digital Marketers Meet-Up – if you want to come along to the next one, which will focus on building trust online, you can sign up here. There will also be the opportunity to sample some of Pasta di Piazza’s delicious pizza!
