For over a year, Big Cat’s PR team have worked closely with Washington Green – parent company of Castle Galleries and Castle Fine Art  – and when we were briefed on one of their artist’s latest projects, we were very excited.

For the launch of his latest exhibition, artist Simon Claridge was granted exclusive access to photographs hand-picked from Twentieth Century Fox studio archives featuring the world’s most famous movie icon of all: Marilyn Monroe.

Using glittering diamond dust on each image, Claridge has created a six-piece collection of beautiful Marilyn Monroe silkscreen images. Never before translated into artwork, and all hand embellished with sparkling diamond dust, they are being featured in Castle Galleries and Castle Fine Art galleries across the UK.

The Diamond Dust Collection represents Marilyn in symbolic black and white, enveloped in what has now become his trademark ‘diamond dust’ as a nod to the glamour and opulence of Hollywood. Using the glittering diamond dust on each image, Claridge ensures the works portray something of the aura of Marilyn and the luminescence of her being under the spotlight.

The launch has so far featured in The Independent, After Nyne Magazine and regional press across the country. Find out more about Simon Claridge and his work here.
